I recently opened a business and tried all the usual tricks of getting the word out there. I tried advertising on the local radio stations, advertised in the local paper for a full seven days, as well as direct mail advertising. Problem is while I got a few customers who loved my products and customer service I knew I could do better, I just didn’t know what else I could do. I looked online and found something fairly cheap I thought would work: feather flag advertising banners. These are flag like signs that I could customize with my business’s name and logo and are designed to flap in the wind. They basically grab attention since humans are attracted to movement.
So I went thru the ordering process and in a week or so they arrived carefully packaged to my business. They were fairly easy to set up and I set the two up outside my doors on the sidewalk. I should of had more staff on that day because we had more new customers that day then we ever had. Continue reading
